Donna Buck

Donna was born and raised in Newcastle where she lives with her husband and two children. Art has always been a passion.

She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Newcastle University in 1995 (majoring in Plant & Wildlife Illustration) with a Distinction.

Donna went on to work for publishers, illustrating a number of children’s books, posters and other items. Some of these items were published internationally. Others were sold nationally in outlets such as National Geographic and Taronga Zoo.

Donna is now busy creating commissions for homes and offices, and preparing for future exhibitions and markets. Her work is now predominately abstract painting, created to match the mood and decor of the space. Her skills allow her to do realistic works if approached to do so. A recent commission was a painting to feature on a wine label. Donna has had recent successful exhibitions at Art Bazaar 2010, Overt Darby St and Newcastle Grammar School’s Nexus 13.
