DON’T MISS OUT ON RESALE ROYALTIES:
The resale royalty scheme started on 9 June 2010. A 5% royalty is payable on certain resales of artworks for $1,000 or more (including GST). Artists are being urged to register and/or ensure that their contact and payment details are up to date, so that they can easily be found and paid if a royalty is collected for them. The scheme applies to living artists, and artists who have died in the last 70 years. Copyright Agency manages the scheme who collects an administrative fee up to 10% of the royalty collected.
Topics that will be covered include:
- Resale royalty
- Basic copyright
- Copyright Agency/Viscopy membership
- Copyright Agency Cultural Fund
REGISTRATION REQUIRED BY MONDAY 13 MAY 2013

This includes managing the Viscopy business: services to artists and users of images. Tristan Chant is also a practicing artist and curator so this presentation is based on how to apply the above to an artist’s professional practice.
