Update from the Hunter Arts Network committee to our Members
Due to the current circumstances associated with COVID-19 the Hunter Arts Network committee has held a meeting recently on Zoom (to maintain social distancing) to discuss what 2020 will now look like for our members. We have had to rethink our arrangements in light of bans on gatherings and the venues we have selected unexpectedly ceasing to be available.
Hunter Arts Network has decided to cancel our Annual General Meeting for 2020 . We will be arranging a new date for the next Annual General Meeting in 2021. Our current Committee will continue for the extended term.
With coronavirus causing huge disruption to Australia’s arts industry, as we value our members’ commitment and passion, Hunter Arts Network has decided to give our active members a six month extension. Current membership would have been ending on 31 December 2020, and this will now be automatically extended to 30 June 2021 (members do not need to apply for this benefit).
Hunter Arts Network Art Bazaar which was to be held on Sunday 5 April at Speers Point has been postponed. We are looking to reschedule this event to later in the year when it is safer to do so. For members who have paid Art Bazaar fees, you will be given a credit to put towards future Art Bazaars. More information about Art Bazaar will be posted separately soon.
In the meantime we want to keep our Art Bazaar community alive! Get your own Page on the Hunter Arts Network Website!
We will continue to promote our members online as we want to help our local creative members stay afloat during the crisis – if you are a Hunter Arts Network member you are entitled to an Artist page of your own on our Hunter Arts Network website!
