Artist, designer and printmaker, Miranda Earle, has created a vibrant new world of pattern and colour with her hand printed fashion and fabrics.

Miranda has developed her own process of printing on fabrics using lino blocks and stencils to layer and blend colours. This process was developed out of a fascination for tessellation, organic forms and geometry and her work is about bringing these elements into balance and harmony.

Miranda is continually developing new fabric prints and exploring new ways to use and display these works of art. Her clothing embraces simple, flattering cuts that serve to exhibit and complement her beautiful fabric. These pieces are works of truly practical and versatile wearable art.

Miranda is currently developing prints on large panels that will be exhibited as wall art. These panels of impressive scale, aim to capture the full impact of the tessellating designs.

Miranda is currently exploring the potentials ecologically sustainable fibers and dyes in her work. Summer 09 saw the release of prints and fashion garments in two different Hemp blend fabrics. All Miranda’s T-shirts are printed on 100% certified organic cotton and are made in Australia, and her shawls and scarves are made from bamboo. These fibers (as well as silk, which is naturally organically produced) are the inspiration for much more exploration in future collections.
