Franca’s work is in photomedia, using an old technique called cyanotype. These chemicals produce blue prints using ultraviolet light for exposure. These prints are made with either direct contact using plants and various objects or negatives of pictures taken on her travels. All the prints are unique, either mat framed or framed. Franca has also experimented printing on clay and fabrics like silk from which she has produced scarves with leaf motifs.
