Hi! I’m Amy McLean. I’m based in Newcastle NSW and love creating art when I get the chance. After feeling the urge to get creative again a few years ago, I played around with different mediums until I finally found my “thing”… creating bright, happy abstract artworks with soft pastels on canvas. I find they are therapeutic to create and bring a touch of cheer to any room. I’ve enjoyed experimenting with both alcohol ink and acrylic on other little artworks and also hope to try my hand at weaving soon too. The colourful soft pastel abstracts on canvas, however, have proven to be the greater passion so far.

I am thrilled to have been able to join the Hunter Arts Network and look forward to making my work available to you at the markets. I hope you find as much joy in my art as I do.
