After a rather unfortunate Art Bazaar on August 25 when we experienced a weather event which was not forecasted and was a surprise to our Art Bazaar Coordinators as well, we are happy to be able to organize this extra Art Bazaar at no cost to our members and we hope you all have a very good day on Sunday.
The Weather is still very unpredictable, and I will be watching my four weather Apps (yes I do have them 😊) and if the weather deteriorates between now and Sunday morning we will contact you via email…so just keep an eye on your emails….
I think it’s going to be fine at this stage but who knows … Mother Nature has her own rules :😉
Please read all the information below as its important to ensure that we all have a safe, positive, happy and hopefully lucrative day 😊
Looking forward to catching up with you on Sunday
Thank you.. Kay

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW
We will be able to drive on Lambton Park on Sunday at this time, however, please be aware the ground is still a little soft in some areas, your careful entry and exit from the park to ensure no damage to the grounds is greatly appreciated.

ARRIVAL TMES
The layout for this market is different as we have 38 stalls and we have opted for a Boutique style with a circle (well sort of) it looks good and the “Traffic Flow “ map shows you the entry and exit points…we will have someone at entry to direct you to your site….. VERY IMPORTANT …unpack your car at your stall site and IMMEDIATELY move your car to an area outside the park. ‘The Men’s Shed’ will be in attendance to help you set up you Marquee.

MARKET START TIME IS 10AM SO STILL 2 HOURS TO SET UP FROM 8AM

• DON’T FORGET YOUR WEIGHTS …..All stalls must have weights, Lambton Park can get very windy especially at this time of year and a lot of damage can be caused by a flyaway marquee, so PLEASE take the time to ensure that your Marquee is stable …if you are unsure of what is required please ask me and I will assist you in ensuring that you are safe as well as your neighbouring stallholders
• BY order of NCC …….No pegging allowed.

NO EARLY PACK UP
We understand how difficult it can be when you are having a day with little interaction and minimal sales, we have all been there, however we should always be aware that to pack up early reflects on the market as a whole, creating a negative vibe….so just relax talk to your next door stallholder , enjoy the day and think of it as a good day out of the house ….. that’s what I do 😊

SUMMARY
• Members of Newcastle Men’s Shed will be available to assist with erecting your Marquee if you wish. They will also be assisting at the end of the market.
• Once you are unloaded PLEASE move your vehicle … to make room for the next stallholder.
• Park away from the Bazaar so that customers will be able to find a park close by.
• Please keep strictly to the above schedule

Food & Beverage Stalls:
• Food and beverage stalls enter via Elder Street, Lambton and you will be shown where to set up

INFORMATION ON MARKET CANCELLATION
• Art Bazaar will not go ahead on the day when poor weather is occurring at 7.00am on that day..…. all stallholders will be notified by email.

Here are some handy tips for stallholders:

Provide your own table
Provide hand sanitizer and wipes
Display your Covid Safe Policy
Charge your Square reader
Bring an extra battery source for your phone
Take pictures on your phone of your market set up so you can refer back to pictures of the previous market and also for sharing on socials including ours, and tag #hanartbazaar #hunterartsnetwork
Clothing to cover all hot/cold options & sun protection
Tablecloths to cover the tables
Paper carry bags and paper bags (customise these with business cards) for sales
Normally we recommend bringing a float however due to Covid cashless is now preferred
Business cards, flyers, signage
Tissue paper/bubble wrap depending on what you are selling
Display stands/items for your work….you can be creative with this ie old suitcases/timber children’s chairs/jewellery trees that seem to pop up everywhere in home stores etc
Small kit of stationery items ie scissors/safety pins/black marker texta/sticky tape
Pack the car the night before
Leave your day to day handbag at home and only take what is essential for security reasons/bring a small crossover bag for your change/ or bumbag
If you are by yourself tell ALL your friends to drop in and say hello so you at least get a toilet break!
Introduce yourself to your neighbouring stalls
Chains or mesh to hang from the market tent to hang wall art
Collect customer details
Receipts
Plenty of drinking water
If you make clothes of jewellery, wear it on the day
Be doing something with your hands, sewing or painting or other making as people like seeing creative people being creative, it not only creates a topic of conversation but you are not sitting there starring at the customer, freaking them out
