Wangi Lions Club will be presenting the highly-regarded Dobell Festival of Art and Craft for the 41st year. The Festival regularly features over 300 original works of Art and at wide range of quality hand-made Craft items.
Laura Wilson – BA Art History/Theory will be the Art judge for the 2017 Festival. Laura is the Marketing and Audience Engagement Officer for the Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery and has taught art history/theory at Newcastle Art School TAFE Hunter Institute for the past fifteen years. Laura has also served as an art consultant to a commercial gallery.
The 2017 Festival commences on Friday, 28th April at 7.30 with the official opening and presentation of prizes by our Sponsors. Canapes and refreshments will be served. Opening Night entry is $15 per person, accompanied children free.
The Festival continues through Saturday 29th April, opening at 10:00am and closing at 5:00pm, and Sunday 30th April, opening at 10:00am and closing at 4:00pm.
The Festival will be held at the Wangi District Workers Club, 11-19 Market St, Wangi Wangi
Free parking is available adjacent to the Club.
