Kate Teal-Spicer is an artist, writer and filmmaker from Newcastle.
Kate has worked on various creative projects including two solo exhibitions, different group exhibitions, production designer on Luca Brasi’s music video ‘Party Scene’, art director on feature film ‘Beat’ and different art festivals, markets and live creation projects including murals. Kate’s artwork often explores themes of environmentalism, feminism, activism, and identity. Kate also works in various media, including painting, illustration and drawing, chalk, and film.
In 2022, Kate also began working on her PhD in Cultural Studies at the University of Newcastle, creating a documentary about women’s healthcare experiences, accompanied by a written exegesis.
