Please join us at Back to Back galleries (57 Bull St, Cooks Hill) for the opening of The Nature of Beauty – The Beauty of Nature on Friday July 8th at 6pm. The exhibition will be opened by James Ryan.

Inspired by nature, artists Jan Clark and Sharon Taylor have created beautiful, delicate and seemingly fragile art.

Jan’s work is based on the wildflowers of the forest floor in the Lower Hunter Valley. The little known beauty of native herbaceous plants is explored creatively through textile paintings and watercolour on paper. Jan has been a textile artist for many years and continues the theme of the beauty of nature in this series called Wildflowering.

Sharon’s sculptural ceramic work considers the beauty in the finer details of nature. Familiar sights such as gum leaves and bark patterns are reinvented through texture, form and colour to reveal their profound natural beauty.
