The Hand-Stitched Line

Be introduced to the use of simple hand-stitching in textiles. Explore historical and contemporary examples of stitching and textile in fine arts and craft before creating your own textile sampler or small study piece.

Printmaking and the Landscape

Be inspired by the gallery’s lakeside surrounds and the Colliding Islands exhibition in order to produce your own artwork using creative methods of printing without a press.

Oil Painting

Painting a Chinese Vertical Scroll

Sip traditional green Chinese tea and listen to relaxing music while you learn the ancient art form of painting a Chinese vertical scroll. We provide expert guidance and great historical knowledge in order for you to look at the theme of birds, bamboo and blossoms in the creation of scrolls.
