The Connections sculptural exhibition incorporating ceramics into mixed media opened at Back to Back Galleries (57 Bull St Cooks Hill) last Friday & runs until 25 May.

Artists Robyn Outram and Cathe Stack have had a shared journey in art-making stretching over 20 years. Connections are made on many levels in this exhibition. Between medium, forms, surface qualities and a domestic preoccupation. Robyn’s work plays with the distortion and manipulation of familiar domestic objects that are primarily vessel based, while Cathe’s ceramic and timber forms respond to architectural concerns, such as the engagement with the body and mind in the built domestic environment.
