ARTIST: LINDSEY GOFF
I have always had a great love of the natural world, which has led me to develop my artistic skills towards becoming a botanical artist. I get great satisfaction out of drawing and then using watercolours to paint plants, insects and other creatures in life-like detail.
I have exhibited at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney for many years, at the ‘Botanica’ exhibitions, which includes artworks from botanical artists Australia wide. I am also a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia and have exhibited at a number of those exhibitions, too.
During 2002 to 2003 I completed an Honours Degree in Wildlife Illustration at the University of Newcastle, NSW.
A few years later I enrolled on a course in Printmaking, where I discovered the delights of being able to reproduce my detailed artwork designs through the use of etching plates and a manual printing press.
In 2009 I finished my teaching career of over thirty years and set up a small business – LINDSEY’S ART OF NATURE – with the aim of producing and selling my hand printed artworks of Australian flora and fauna.
I now sell my artworks, as well as digitally printed greeting cards of my own designs, through local markets in the Hunter Region, NSW, as well as across Australia via my website. Many of my artworks are now in numerous private collections worldwide.
