Help increase waste awareness and show your creativity. Create something incredible out of stuff that would otherwise be thrown away.
The West Wallsend District Sustainable Neighbourhood Group is inviting school students and community members to create an artwork from waste materials. Entries may be three dimensional (sculptures, functional items such as furniture, wearable items, etc.) and created predominantly from waste, or may be two dimensional (photographs, illustration, painting etc.) – reflecting waste in society.
Entries will be exhibited at a community event on 10 October 2015, and be in the running to win cash prizes:
- $25 for the Primary School student category
- $50 for the High School student category
- $75 for the Open category
- $50 for the People’s Choice Award
