Hunter Arts Network Art Bazaar

The Hunter Arts Network, better known as HAN, is a non-profit incorporated membership of artisans from the Hunter. Rising from the idea that Newcastle and the Hunter are full of creative people producing high quality art, craft and design-based work, Newcastle City Council spent some years facilitating the establishment of HAN to give representation to these people.

HAN now works via a committee and sub committees to continually strive to improve activities of HAN and to ensure the shape and structure of HAN is relevant. HAN was incorporated in December 2005 and launched in February 2006 at the Newcastle Region Art Gallery.
HAN strives to facilitate the opportunities for promotion of member’s & their work through Art Bazaar, social media, our newsletter, blog and artist page on this website.

Hunter Arts Network

Over the last 22 years Art Bazaar has become a highly anticipated event for both the public and the participating stallholders. It has stimulated the arts community and increased public awareness of the Hunter’s diverse artistic culture. It has successfully displaying the many individuals, groups, organisations and businesses.

The Market also represents an excellent opportunity for practitioners and organisations to develop professional networks which support the development of new work, broader audiences and marketing opportunities – all of which align directly with the objectives of HAN.
