Overview: Lake Macquarie City Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from Artists, Industrial Designers and other specialists to form a shortlist of preferred suppliers to design and manufacture play art and installations for the Lake Macquarie Variety Playground, Speers Point Park, Lake Macquarie NSW.

Submissions need to demonstrate relevant experience in providing installations for the public realm and experience with designing for children’s playgrounds will be considered favourably. Submissions without relevant experience will be considered if they demonstrate an understanding of the issues associated with public art and play art.

Successful applications will be placed on a preferred suppliers list that could be used to commission work for installation within the playground. It is anticipated that commissions will vary between $2,000 – $50,000.

Invitation: Any person willing to fulfil the requirements of the proposed contract is invited to submit a expression of interest (EOI) to the Council by the closing date. Interested parties are required to register via the E-tendering Portal at www.tenderlink.com/lakemac (tender number LAKEM-451184) to download the documents.
