A weekend retreat focused on stained glass and interpretive design, located at the base of the Barringtons, offers an inspiring setting to immerse in both artistic expression and natural beauty.
Join accomplished glass artist Marian Day (@leadlight.of.day), in partnership with experienced retreat facilitators and artists Bronwyn and Max Greive, to learn how to work with glass, while you develop your own creativity.
This is a retreat, not just a weekend workshop
Over 2 days (& Friday night) Marian will tutor you in the art of Stained-glass, guiding participants to design and craft their own stained-glass pieces.
Alongside the art workshops this retreat offers time for relaxation and reflection. ‘Be nurtured in Nature’ with time to bushwalk, sit in wonder, learn about or practice art-journalling, spend time reflecting, walk one of the 4 labyrinths on the property, rest, and connect with others interested in being creative.
Simply sitting in the tranquil setting can help refresh your mind, opening you to new creative ideas.
This boutique retreat (maximum 11 people) is set within the 100 acres of Fosterton Retreat, with stunning views across valleys and hills to the Barrington Tops National Park. Only 12 minutes from the historic and beautiful town of Dungog, surrounded by wallabies grazing and birds singing, this is a popular place for get-aways, artists, and lovers of nature to renew and connect on a deeper level.
We’re just over 2 hours north of Sydney from the start of the M1, OR you can come by train, from the north or south as both the XPT & Citylink services stop here. Contact us to be picked up from Dungog station: a small fee applies.
