Unique Farm Studio for Creative Arts Workshops & Specialist Classes.
WEDNESDAY WORKSHOP – Are you interested in art during the week?
When numbers demand it, midweek 3 hour workshops will recommence on Wednesday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
During these workshops, artworks can be developed resulting in either a series of works or completed works ready for the framer or display. Students may range in age and ability – and self direction is well supported. Everyone is always catered for and we aim for an inclusive, friendly learning environment.
Most basic art materials are supplied, including morning tea. Midweek 3 hr workshops cost $25.
To express interest in this workshop, please register by telephoning 02 4973 3042 (leave your name, message and call back details)
Update: Studio Workshops are regularly attended every Saturday morning.
Saturday workshops run each week from 9.30am to 12.30am – with something different each time. Participants are working through a set program learning foundation drawing skills, basic colour theory, painting with acrylics, working with ink and other materials. Students often produce numerous drawings and finished works over the session. Our several horses, dogs and cats often model for us, even the old red tractor features occasionally. The property’s pretty rural outlook is the perfect site for outdoor creative workshops. Most basic art materials are supplied, including morning tea. Saturday 3 hour workshops cost $25. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL-
NEW: Discounted art materials are now available to order from Robyn Croft
Morrisset Showground Mural Project:
Thanks to the support of Lake Macquarie City Council, Morisset Showground Trust and Watagan Pony Club, this project will soon commence. Designs for the murals have now been completed and the fabrication of the artworks, including painting the murals on metal cut out panels will soon start.
Local community members will be invited to help paint more than a dozen designs, featuring chooks, ducks, a turkey, goat, cow, dogs, horses and speedcars! The historic use of the grounds over the years will be depicted in the murals, mostly produced off-site to be installed on the buildings at the Showground. For more info about this project, call Margrete 0412 324 228 or email email@example.com
Morrisset PCYC Arts Project:
“ART@2264” has been successful in obtaining funding from the Community Builders Grant to run 3 years of monthly arts activities at the new Morisset PCYC. Arts activities will include making new works for the centre, artworks for the public spaces of Morisset township, music, dance, digital imaging workshops and more. Stay tuned for more info on this exciting project!

I spoke to you at the Artevent you are setting up at Woolworths today and I am interested in joining in with your group.
Just tried to log on to your website but the link won’t work with any of the pages that opened from Google or the address on your business card – just thought you would like to know.
The best info was on the Visit Lake Mac site – it all sounds great. I will try and get over there next Thursday as I’d really like to be involved with the murals.
If you visit Lake Mac Visitor info site and update your info on this site there is new information and a new program for 2012 to upload. Thanbks for your ongoing support.
