Newcastle is hosting the nation’s first in-depth examination of the impact of COVID-19 on the arts sector in an Australian regional centre. The study invites the city’s artists and those working in the arts sector to participate in a new survey with the aim of understanding the economic, creative and psychological impact of COVID-19 on artists and arts workers in Newcastle. Commissioned by the Independent Creative Alliance Newcastle (ICAN), funded by the City of Newcastle through the Special Business Rate program and led by the University of Newcastle, the initiative aims to support art workers to emerge from the pandemic with strength and confidence. A survey is now open and we are encouraging as many people as possible in the city’s arts sector to respond. Complete the survey here http://www.hrf.com.au/news-events/news/arts-sector
