Back to Back Galleries presents an exhibition combining the love of clay and food. Featuring ceramics and photographs by Sue Jones, Nicola Purcell Ali Sobel-Ried, Pam Sinnott, Sue Stewart, Helen Stronach, Kara Wood and June Wheen.
Eight woman potters from the Newcastle Studio Potters group have taken on the challenge of designing domestic ware for chosen chefs from around the Hunter Valley. The pieces are to be plated up with the Chef’s choices and photographed for display on the walls of the gallery along with a range of domestic ware on show
The exhibition has been a very exciting process for all involved. Restaurants are showing a lot of interest in serving their creations on bespoke pieces and potters are responding to the resurgence of valuing their wares with great enthusiasm
The potter’s all have very individual styles and together with the Chef’s creations the exhibition will be a mouth-watering experience
