MAKEit Creative Conference in Newcastle is a week long event focusing on the What, Why and Where of professional creative makers working locally and abroad.
Over 2 evenings in November, eight selected professional Australian and International creatives will present their process, experience and knowledge of their desired crafts. Each speaker will discuss their love for small batch creativity over mass production while sharing an insight into their day to day practice.
A series of Master Classes will take place over the week to gain a hands on experience for anyone to participate. Each short course or full day workshop will be hosted by a large range of creative makers from Traditional Sign Painters to Modern Paper sculptors.
There will also be a rooftop movie night with a short and feature length documentary that will share a further insight into creative makers.
