Karen and Jono share a deep connection to their craft, both having completed part of their training in their younger years while living in Japan. Karen studied under master potters in Mashiko while Jono worked
alongside carpenters on traditional timber houses outside Tokyo. They have independently taken these lineages and incorporated these influences into their practices. We look forward to seeing you at this exhibition of beautifully considered and finely crafted sculptures and functional works
